Our hospital and Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals are going to be transformed over the next few years as part of a £250m investment in local health services.
We are producing a series of publications looking at the planned changes and how they will benefit our patients and region. The first one is available now.
This is focussed on the developments at Royal Bournemouth Hospital with the building of a new Maternity, Children’s, Emergency and Critical Care Centre (MCEC). The publication contains details of the many patient and staff benefits this building will bring, artists impressions of how the new building will fit into our estate and features on our active travel plans to help reduce traffic congestion.
You can read the publication and see more details about our planned changes, including a film illustrating our planned development by clicking on the following link, https://www.rbch.nhs.uk/index.php?id=2762. Our outline planning approval we hope will be considered by the BCP Council Planning Committee on 23 July and there are also details on how you can show your support (or comment otherwise) for our plans to BCP in advance of this.
Further publications focused on the developments at Poole Hospital and Christchurch Hospital will follow.
