Would you like to go to a
show at Bournemouth or Southampton? A day at
Portsmouth shopping or a tour of the Navel Base and
Spinnaker Tower.
An afternoon Ten Pin Bowling,? These are some of the
ideas that have
come up in conversation with Members. If you have an
idea, my e-mail

Update to Special Newsletter for February, 2010
We've noticed that there might have been some
confusion about the earlier newsletter referring to
rehab class held at Canford School. I suppose that is
being too close to the problem, sorry!
Let us try to clarify matters. The PHSG Exercise
Classes held at Canford Sports Centre are NOT under
threat. Our Group operates these sessions and we have
full control over them. Nothing relating to these
classes is changing. All members are welcome.
The original e-letter referred to a Poole Hospital
Class which operates on a Tuesday at 11a.m. at Canford
Sports Centre for recovering Heart Patients. It is this
one particular class which is now under threat due to
the Primary Care Trust ceasing the funding for its
operation. This Class in the Community was hailed some
years ago by the PCT as the way forward.
PHSG will continue to recruit its new members from
the remaining rehabilitation classes which are carried
out at Poole Hospital. We are saddened by the actions of
the PCT as we also believed that rehab in the Community
gave additional confidence to those recovering from a
Cardiac Event.
Don't forget to check the
Poole Heart Support Group Website for updates.
