Dr. Di Bruce talk - 12th June

Date : 12th June
Time: 7:30 pm
Location: Postgraduate Centre, Poole Hospital

Dr. Di Bruce will be giving another well attended presentation this month. So please come along and show your support for one of our new Vice Presidents!

NOTE THE DATE - This is NOT the 3rd Thursday in June. As Alan Bristow mentioned in the Summer 2008 Newsletter, because of double booking at the Postgraduate centre, some of the meetings this year are not on the usual 3rd Thursday of the month.

Treasure Hunt - 17th July

Date: 17th July
Time: 6:30pm start
Location: White Hart (Corn Market)

The Treasure Hunt this year will take place on 17th July.

Meet at King St Car park (opposite Model Town), starting from 6:30 to 7:30 pm ending up at the White Hart (Corn Market). Bar food/meals are available.

Canford School Arboretum - 21st August

Date: 21st August
Time: 7:00pm
Location: Canford School

There will be a tour of the Canford School Arboretum on 21st August. Again, the number of places is limited to 25, so please book early if you wish to participate.

Pam Bailey is organising the event, so please contact her on 01202 574944. However, please phone Pam ONLY in the evening.

If anyone taking the tour has walking difficulties, then please inform Pam. Canford School have kindly offered to help out in these circumstances.

Christmas Party - 4th December

Date: 4th December
Time: Dinner 7:00pm for 7:30pm prompt
Location: Hamworthy Sports & Social Club, Merley

Menu:-

Minestrone Soup or Prawn Cocktail
Chicken Forestiere or Grilled Salmon/Hollandaise or Vegetable Bake
Dutch Apple Pie or Strawberry Cheescake
Coffee

Drinks :- Wine is not included this year but the Club will produce a list of 10 suitable bottles. Drinks, both soft and alcoholic will be available at the bar.

Entertainment :- There will be a 60's theme to the music and a special guest will make an appearance. There will be the usual raffle and we hope suitable good prizes will be donated with the proceeds used to offset costs.

Tables:- There will be tables of 10 and it is suggested that interested members attempt to sort out full tables so that applications can be submitted soon after they are delivered with the Autumn Magazine in late August.
